Aspen Air Opens New Facility – Ribbon Cutting in Billings
Aspen Air celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon cutting of its new production facility in Lockwood, Billings — more than doubling nitrogen and oxygen production capacity.
The Billings Gazette covered Aspen Air's expansion under the headline "Aspen Air Invests In Lockwood." The company announced a significant growth initiative at its production facility in the Lockwood area near Billings, Montana.
CEO Onkar Dhaliwal stated: "We decided to build here. We feel it is so stable. The living conditions are just better here." The new facility, built on the same property as their original plant, substantially increases nitrogen and oxygen production capacity.
Senior VP and CFO Rolf Wenzel emphasized that "This new plant will more than double our production capacity and add an additional level of back-up supply for customers in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming."
The expansion reflects Aspen Air's confidence in the region. Since establishing operations in 2006, the company planned to add up to five permanent positions in plant operations and transportation. Dhaliwal expressed optimism about the area's diverse industrial sectors, including oil field services, mining, food processing, medical facilities, refining, and manufacturing, describing Billings as a "vibrant city" that attracts quality employees.
