Aspen Joins the Main Street Montana Project

As a Montana-based business, Aspen Air participated in the Main Street Montana Project, a statewide economic development initiative. The company attended regional meetings and contributed to this collaborative effort launched by Governor Steve Bullock.

The project's motto emphasized local ownership: "A Business Plan for Montana by Montanans." It developed following extensive statewide roundtable discussions in 2013 that gathered perspectives from diverse regions and sectors across the state.

The strategic framework identified five key areas for economic development:

1. Workforce training and education initiatives
2. Business-friendly climate development
3. Leveraging Montana's existing economic strengths
4. Regional marketing efforts
5. Supporting new industries and innovation

Organizers designed the plan as an evolving process, with regional meetings providing feedback to track implementation progress across Montana's five distinct regions. Each area would tailor strategies to address local economic conditions while contributing to broader statewide goals.
